THREE FORMS OF QUADRATICS
VERTEX FORM
The first form of quadratics is "vertex form" This form will help you to identify the vertex, direction of opening, axis of symmetry (A.O.S), optimal value, and the compression/stretch of the parabola
FACTORED FORM
The second form of quadratics is "factored form", this form will help you identify the x-intercepts, direction of opening and from there you work your way through to find the vertex and axis of symmetry (A.O.S).
STANDARD FORM
Third and final form of quadratics is "standard form", (Most of the time you are going to work with quadractic equations in standard form and convert them into vertex or factored forms to solve for or graph a parabola. You cannot find a lot when looking at this form of other then the "intial height".
